The soils of the Leitha Mountains, characterised by shell limestone and mica schist, dominate the slopes around Donnerskirchen and reflect the uniqueness of this region. These geological and climatic conditions, which cannot be influenced by human hands, represent the great treasure of this region, which must be preserved and nurtured. In harmony with the natural conditions and with a certain humility towards the whims of nature, the Lentsch family has set itself the goal of cultivating the varieties of the Burgunder family that have always been native to the Leithaberg. The unique conditions make it possible to press Pinots with elegant fruit, finesse and profound minerality. The Lentschs' focus is clearly on the Pinot Noir, Grauburgunder and Pinot Blanc varieties. In addition to these leading varieties, the white wine range is rounded off with Grüner Veltliner, Neuburger and Sauvignon Blanc. In the red wine segment, Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch are also cultivated alongside the main variety Pinot Noir. These two indigenous wines in particular are able to show their full ageing potential through ageing in large wooden barrels and reflect the unique terroir of the Leithaberg. The range is completed by Cabernet Sauvignon. Under the "Pinozzante - Die Perle vom Leithaberg" brand, sparkling wines are made exclusively from Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc grapes.
